Street food, in many cultures, is a way of life. A quick bite for those on the go, a taste of authenticity and true roots. Every #culture has their own version of #streetfood. If you’ve traveled to other regions of the world, I’m sure you’ve come across a stand on the side of the road or street vendor selling food for immediate consumption, no plates or dinnerware required. The first time I visited #PuertoRico, I was shocked at what great #food you could buy from a street cart that had no health code rating or even electricity. #Empanadillas , a Puerto Rican #empanada, could be found in every corner. Made from scratch in someone’s kitchen than to be sold from a cart. Some filled with #beef, #chicken or #fish folded into a fried dough pocket. Such an easy meal to eat when strolling the streets or sitting by the beach.

Welp, I’m not in Puerto Rico but I can still enjoy empanadillas. Super easy and simple to create using pre-made dough, meat of choice or veggies and spices of choice. Add-ins like adobo, sazon and sofrito truly bring out the Spanish flavors. Give it a try!
