Mexican Hot Chocolate Fudge

Chocolate and chilies make the perfect combo like a fine wine paired with a decadent cheese if I may say so! If you have ever had a Mexican hot chocolate, than you know how delicious the combination of chocolate, cinnamon and chilies compliment each other. The flavors truly accentuate the natural taste of the chocolate. Forget about plain chocolate fudge, that’s old news! This Mexican hot chocolate inspired fudge is a game change, simple ingredients that pack richness in flavor will surely surprise your taste buds.

I was inspired to create this recipe thanks to good ole Cinco De Mayo, MOVE OVER TACOS, ITS CHOCOLATES TIME TO SHINE! What better time to showcase the true roots of Mexican native grown products, cacao and chilies than to combined to two together. All you’ll need is chocolate chips, I used Lily’s dark chocolate chips, nut butter of choice, honey, chili powder, cinnamon and sea salt.

Slowly melt the chocolate chips in either a double boiler or microwave. Once melted, combined the remaining ingredients with a spoon until blended. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper, poor mixture and spread evenly.

I added a few extra sprinkles of chili powder and sea salt. Freeze mixture for two hours until firm. This recipe is so simple and delicious, I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did!

Enjoy and stay oddleeme!
