Full disclosure..... I am not a baker. #Baking can be so precise and takes patience, that I don’t have! However, I crave those fresh baked, yeast filled treats that smell the house full of baked goodness. I’m always on the search for #simple, #minimal baking recipes that are dummy proof. In full search, I came across a 5 ingredient pretzel recipe from an inspiring IG account @tallulahalexandra YES only 5 ingredients that you more than likely have on hand. This recipe is right up my alley folks! I did cut the recipe in half because I only had half of one of the ingredients.

When I say simple and minimal..... this is it. The dough is so easy to manage, not sticky. After incorporating all the ingredients, you cut the dough into four equal parts. Roll each part into a long cylinder about 12” long. Preheat oven to 375, while heating, I shaped my dough into #pretzel like shapes.... yes that ball park concession stand shaped hot pretzel that is to die for! I did not use parchment paper as requested, I just placed the pretzel dough right onto the baking sheet. I lightly coated the top with olive oil and a generous sprinkle of pink Himalayan salt. Baked for 18 mins or until golden brown on top.

The texture has that pull you get when breaking apart a hot pretzel, not using the parchment paper added a little extra crisp on the bottom which I liked. That extra dash of salt before baking is key! I couldn’t be more pleased with how these turned out. This batch didn’t last long..... I’ll be making more!
